Stainless Steel  
I purchased this quiet rice cooker because of the stainless steel interior pot. It is very difficult to avoid aluminum or teflon in rice cookers. I wish that the rice cooker was fully sealed like many Asian rice cookers in which you can leave rice in the cooker for longer periods. The tiny air hold on the lid dries out the rice quickly so youll have to store the rice immediately after cooking. : 2010-09-15 04:09:14

The best rice cooker out there!  
Very easy to use. Cleaning is a breeze... even if the rice dries in the stainless steel bowl. Just soak it for a half an hour and it cleans fast. Inner bowl has a mirror finish. Tye top is glass with a little port that spews steam. Rice cooks well but I noticed that most of the time it comes out a little on the moist side. This may be due to adding too much water to start with. I noticed after several uses the stainless bowl discolors a bit on the bottom side due to the heating coil nearby. Otherwise Im very pleased. Splatters all over kitchen counter and floor when cooking brown rice  
I was so disappointed when I bought this. Thick sticky stuff splatters out of the vent hole. It gets all over kitchen counter and on the floor. I have tried using a towel to cover the counter. It is just too much trouble. It is easier to just cook brown rice in a pot. Perhaps it works for white rice but I am not happy with the result I get with brown rice. : 2010-09-15 04:09:14

great alternative to aluminum rice cookers  
I was initially worried about the pot sticking but if you add a bit more water (1/4 cup) or let the rice soak for 15 minutes on the warm setting you shouldnt have a burnt crust at the bottom of the cooking chamber. The rice cooker also delivers better heat distribution - I can have rice in about 15 minutes. A great buy overall. : 2010-09-15 04:09:14

Rice sticks but there are no carcinogens!  
I am the type of person who would prefers having their food stick to a surface rather than having it not stick but be exposed to carcinogens and all sorts of other chemicals that I dont know about. I searched for this stainless steel rice cooker. The rice is in contact with steel not teflon. If I only remembered to add a little vegetable oil to the water and rice then Im sure that it wouldnt stick to the bottom as much or not at all. And in even in the worst case it takes a little scrubbing to get the caked on food off.

The rice cooker itself works very well. I cooked quinoa in it the other night and it cooked it perfectly. It automatically switches from cook to warm based on the amount of water that is put in. It cooks fast. : 2010-09-15 04:09:14
